Managers have the ability to create and review private notes for the people they manage.

Private notes are never seen by the appraisee or anyone else and are used as a notepad to remind you as a manager of thoughts and ideas you've had throughout the year that you'd like to consider when it comes to appraisal time.

Private notes can be entered at any time. At appraisal, they're gathered up onto the appraisal report for you to review:

You can enter private notes on the appraisal report, or on the Your Team page:

You might add private notes at various points:

  • If you get some anecdotal feedback about someone you manage from a colleague, client or customer.
  • To record your thoughts after your monthly 1-to-1 meetings.
  • To record examples of good or poor performance on a regular basis.
